Does it generate captions from audio?
No. Start with existing timed SRT/VTT subtitles from your editor or transcription workflow. CaptionKit handles the cleanup and export step.
What’s in the ZIP?
CaptionKit.html, a quick-start guide, a sample SRT, and a license for personal and commercial editing. Extract it and double-click the HTML file. The full tool has batch loading, pasted text, source editing, and saved settings.
What does “split timing” mean?
New cue durations are estimated from text length within the original cue. This is not speech alignment or word-level transcription. Check the result with your video. Long words are preserved and flagged.
Will it work in my editor?
It exports plain SRT or VTT. Use an editor that supports importing those formats. Styling and animations are added in your editor. Rich VTT positions and styles are not retained. Test the sample export first.
How does delivery work?
After successful Stripe checkout, you are redirected to a download page with the ZIP and instructions. Bookmark that page and keep a backup. Its link is shareable; the license is for the purchaser’s use.
